Niantic has launched its Apple Watch version of Pokemon Go recently. After the successful AR game, the company is making it more fun by bringing this to wearable devices. The smartwatch app will act as a companion to the mobile game which gives users the ability to find Pokémon, collect items from different locations.
The game on the phone requires users to navigate their cities to find virtual creatures in the game. Users with the Apple Watch app won't have to walk around with their pones, which could help improve the user experience. The watch app comes as partner to the present app as this helps in finding Pokemons without taking out your smartphones.
Smartwatches are said to be the next generation of devices set to transform consumer lives. In the next few years, the smartwatch market will likely see the addition of new functionality and increased capabilities.
Pokémon Go set a record for the fastest top-grossing app in the iOS App Store. However, its users dwindled significantly after just one month and have continued to decline since. The company has made several efforts to rejuvanate these users, by releasing themed updates around public holidays, and making it easier to catch different types of Pokémon.
This watch update adds more to that. This is only for Apple users and is compatible only with iPhones and Apple Watches. Android users have to wait or it may never come for them.
